What Can Veneers Fix?

What Are Veneers?
Dental veneers are very thin sheets of tooth-colored material that are bonded directly to your natural teeth. They may be made of porcelain or of tooth-colored resin. Both materials offer pros and cons: porcelain veneers mimic the light-reflecting properties of natural teeth better and offer more stain resistance, while resin veneers can be made thinner, requiring less removal of your natural tooth material.
How Do I Get Veneers?
Properly customizing veneers is a multi-step process and will usually take approximately three appointments. During your initial consultation, you and Dr. Carroll will discuss your treatment options. Dr. Carroll will determine if veneers will provide the solution you desire and help you choose the treatment that will best serve your needs.
Once you have chosen to proceed with dental veneers, we will schedule an appointment to prepare your teeth. Dr. Carroll will remove a thin layer of the tooth enamel, giving the veneer somewhere to sit and ensuring it will look natural, not bulky or out of place. An impression will be made of your mouth to create a perfect fit for your veneers.
When the veneers are complete, our Yuma dental office will schedule your final fitting. During this appointment, we will check the fit of each veneer being placed and make adjustments as needed. Once the veneers look perfect, we will clean and lightly etch the area to be bonded, giving the surface the proper texture to ensure a good, strong bond. The bonding cement is applied and cured with a special light to harden quickly. Once any excess cement has been removed, you’re done and ready to show off your new smile!

I highly HIGHLY recommend Dr Carroll and his team. I’ve seen them a few times now, and complained about sensitivity on some of my teeth. Dr Carroll recommended that I have new enamel put on some of my teeth to alleviate the sensitivity. I was a little hesitant and honestly very nervous for the procedure as I have a lot of medical anxiety. Dr. Carroll and Natalie are absolutely awesome!! They make you feel welcome from the minute you step into the office. I currently have braces and met with Dr. Carroll to look at my front crown. They coordinated with my orthodontist to make my crown smaller so we can finish closing the gaps in my teeth. Once my braces are off I will be going back to get a whole new crown. They do great work, I definitely recommend them!

I'm new to Yuma so I read a lot of reviews before deciding on who to make an initial appointment with. The reviews were on point! Dr. Carroll and Natalie went above and beyond to get me into the office same day. I don't know what they sacrificed in their day for me, but my smile looks amazing. Dr. Carroll's touch is so gentle - I didn't even know he did numbing injections because I didn't feel a thing until I was numb. Their bedside manner is also very pleasant. I will certainly be keeping follow up appointments with them! They're worth it!

I am terrified of going to the Dentist but after a small accident I needed to get a crown. I found Dr. Carroll through online reviews and went in. Natalie was amazing when I explained my anxiety and fears to her regarding an experience I had in Algadones. After first going to MX and having a mediocre teeth cleaning, plus being told that I had 6 cavities without ever taking xrays, I called Yuma Smiles. They did complete digital full mouth xrays and the BEST teeth cleaning I’ve had in years! State of the art office and CLEAN! Natalie and Shanel are excellent as is Dr Carroll. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I HAD A BETTER DENTIST!!!! Before I moved to Yuma I was TERRIFIED of the dentist... but after meeting Dr.Carroll and his staff I am no longer afraid. The staff warmly greet you everytime you go in. Dr. Carroll is very gentle and will explain everything he is doing. I told the staff I was scared of needles and before they did anything involving a needle they told me what was going on and talk me through it or put a towel over my eyes to make sure I didnt see it. They are so sweet they called me (after I had 2 teeth pulled) to see how I was feeling. I am very happy with my experience here and will be a patient if his for as long as he is around.

I have been seeing Dr. Carroll since Dr. Clark retired. I have found Dr. Carroll to be very knowledgeable , personable and caring for his patients. I love his perfectionlism and his bed side manner. Amazing service! I was scheduled for a Friday (which is typically only an admin day) to be seen for a retainer casting. My schedule at work is restrictive and I let Natalie know that I wouldn't be able to pick the final product up for a couple of months due to my work schedule. She went above and beyond to hand deliver my retainer to me the same day it was casted with no extra charge!! Dr. Carroll has state-of-the-art equipment and can do it all. I was able to get my new crown replaced on the same day with only the one visit. I've been going there for years and never had to wait past my appointment time. The office staff are all friendly, helpful, efficient, prompt, and make you feel at home and more importantly, comfortable. Dr. Carroll remembers details from prior visits and always follows up on them. A real bonus for me is that he has a way with giving the shots to numb your mouth without it hurting! Since my wife and I have been visiting Dr Carroll, our dental health has improved significantly. We are no longer hesitant to "visit the dentist" because Dr Carroll and his staff provide professional and pain-free dental care. I had such a great experience with 32nd Street Dental Care! Dr. Carroll is excellent, and the entire staff is very helpful! The office has a cheerful atmosphere and the customer service is fantastic. I had to get a tooth extracted, and a fake tooth made to take its place. Both procedures were virtually painless, and the new tooth was made right there in the office! I got to watch my tooth being made, and it only tooth about 20-30 minutes! It was amazing, and it fit perfectly! I really appreciate Dr. Carroll's attention to detail, and the fact that he took the time to call me personally a day or so after each procedure to make sure everything was going the way we expected (and it was). I also want to say that Natalie, Dr. Carroll's assistant, is absolutely wonderful! She's extremely accommodating, and my teeth always feel great after I go in for my cleanings. 🙂 I would definitely recommend 32nd Street Dental Care. They do an amazing job!
